According to NBC, Neil Diamond headed from Los Angeles, California to Boston, Massachusetts as soon as he heard the Boston Red Sox game would be played with the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. The game was previously delayed after Dzhokhar Tsarnaev – the Boston Marathon bombing suspect – was arrested. Diamond went to Boston to perform “Sweet Caroline” in the eighth inning of the Boston Red Sox home game. Diamond’s popular song from the 1960’s has become a mainstay at Fenway Park with Boston fans for about two decades and was sung in the streets of Boston by Bostonians after the capture of the second bombing suspect on Friday.
